Business Development Associate

QTI Design & Prototype is an emerging product design firm specializing in Design for Manufacturing within the medical, telecommunications, computer and industrial manufacturing industries. Our design engineers work directly with manufacturing engineers to help them create innovative design solutions and drive down production costs.

This is a ground-floor opportunity for the right individual to help expand an already significant business division of Quality Tool, Inc. – a growing and profitable contract manufacturer of metal components for Fortune 500 and other successful companies, with plants in Brookings, SD and St. Paul, MN.

In this role, the Business Development Associate will partner with the business development and management team to grow QTI Design & Prototype through marketing and sales efforts focused on identifying potential leads, securing new design projects and managing inbound prospects.

QTI Design & Prototype is located in St. Paul Energy Park.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Identify potential leads and secure new design projects through the use of:
    • Leveraging existing business contacts & experience (book of business)
    • Creating and executing target market campaigns
    • Identifying new opportunities/projects to support existing customers
    • Internet-based research and website mining to generate prospective clients
    • Cold calling
  • Participate in industry tradeshows and speaking engagements
  • Network and develop key industry relationships
